1. About these terms
These terms apply when a customer asks JC Remaps UK to quote for or carry out vehicle tuning, diagnostic testing or related work. They should be read alongside the quote or booking confirmation.
2. Quotes and bookings
A telephone discussion is not a confirmed booking. A quote is based on the information supplied and may change if the vehicle, machinery, existing software, modifications, condition, location or requested work differs from that information. A booking is confirmed only when JC Remaps UK expressly accepts it and any agreed deposit has been received.
3. Deposits
Where a deposit is requested, its amount, payment deadline and refund position will be stated before the booking is confirmed. John must confirm the standard deposit policy before launch.
4. Cancellations and rescheduling
Customers should provide as much notice as possible if they need to cancel or rearrange. Reasonable costs already incurred, including specially ordered third-party hardware or agreed travel, may be chargeable where permitted by law. John must confirm the cancellation notice period and any charges before launch.
5. Vehicle condition and suitability
The customer must present a mechanically suitable vehicle or machine and disclose known faults, warning lights, prior tuning, repairs and modifications. JC Remaps UK may decline or stop work where condition, compatibility, safety, access or legality is uncertain. Diagnostic checks reduce risk but cannot identify every hidden or developing fault.
6. Existing and undisclosed modifications
The customer is responsible for providing complete and accurate information about existing mechanical, electrical and software changes. Additional time, diagnosis or restoration made necessary by undisclosed work may be quoted separately.
7. Results
Results vary according to the vehicle or machine, condition, software, fuel, hardware, modifications, maintenance and use. JC Remaps UK does not guarantee any fixed fuel saving, power figure or torque figure. Any estimate is an indication, not a promise of an exact result.
8. Customer responsibility, insurance and warranty
The customer must notify their insurer of relevant modifications and check that suitable cover remains in place. Modifications may affect a manufacturer, dealer or third-party warranty. Customers should check their terms before authorising work and remain responsible for the lawful use and maintenance of the vehicle.
9. Road legality
Vehicles used on public roads must remain road legal and MOT compliant. JC Remaps UK may refuse requested work that would make a road vehicle unlawful or unsuitable for its intended use.
10. Third-party hardware and services
Separate manufacturer or supplier terms may apply to third-party parts, hardware, software licences, transport or facilities. Their availability and lead times are outside JC Remaps UK’s direct control. John must confirm any workmanship or hardware warranty wording before launch.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law. Subject to those rights, JC Remaps UK is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate customer information, undisclosed defects or modifications, misuse, continued use after a warning, or a customer’s failure to follow aftercare advice.
12. Contact and business details
JC Remaps UK can be contacted by telephone on 07957 521974. A public business or correspondence address must be added and confirmed by John before launch.
